Dr Emerich Slavík

JUDr. Emerich  SlavíkDr Slavík specialises in economic law, commercial law, and international law. He is a respected expert in international arbitration issues and proceedings before the European Court of Human Rights. Between 1995 and 2001 Dr Slavík served as the Agent of the Government representing the Czech Republic in proceedings before the European Commission and the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg. As an arbitrator he has been involved in many major arbitration cases with an international element. He has authored a number of technical articles and publications. He has also spent many years in senior expert positions in state administration. Dr Slavík has also headed the department of legal opinions and relations to the Council of Europe of the Ministry of Justice of the Czech Republic; this department is mainly responsible for producing legal opinions on international credit and guarantee agreements to which the Czech Republic is a party. In 1991 he spent some time at a technical study visit to the ministry of transport in Paris.
